I remember about a yr ago getting this reggae remake of Sexy Love (Ne-Yo's hit) by this dude named Hakim. Joint was crazy and i was rocking it on my reggae show in Tulsa, OK. Little did I know it was made by one of the members of The Boys (the same dudes that made Dial My Heart a million years ago. You gotta hear this song and check out his story, oh and i'll throw in a video of Hakim showing you how to get money in the music biz background :-)

Okay for those of you that don't know , I am Chicago's official street dj. I love the streets & that is where you can always find me pumpin' Mixtapes on the blocks like Diesel. I move tapes like weight. so with that being said let me get into what i want to talk about. After reading the 2009 XXL , I came to a conclusion , that the industry @ large doesn't know shit about Chicago,IL. First in my installment of get familiar with Chicago is Bo Deal & Killer Klan. I don't know where they have been looking , but we got a whole section of the city still doing good gangster rap & good street music. Case in point Bo Deal . I normally don't give my stamp of approval to anybody , but I'm puttin my stamp of approval on Bo Deal , Mecca & Killer Klan . I fucks with them and what they are to the streets of Chicago. So to all my Entourage Brethren & all the other people th@ read this blog. Support Bo Deal & Killer Klan. http://www.myspace.com/bodeal This is that real Chicago Street Music.... Everybody ain't middle class , no disrespect to them dudes , that are middle class , but they know we don't support them here . That is why most of them dudes move away from here . Yep Fuck it , I said it..... and if any of you phuck boys got something to say , I will use my power as a dj to expose you as a fake. Alot of dudes that be claimin Chicago ain't even got a ghetto pass in their own land . But these dudes got a Ghetto Pass. http://www.myspace.com/bodeal Check Out these Killer Klan Videos.... Bo Deal: Ratatatat
This BET Freestyle Friday Champion is building his empire, creating a global reputation by sneaking into the industry via the back door. Bo Deal, actually accepted his gift and talent as a word manipulator while he was incarcerated. He earned the acknowledgement inside of being the best. This broadened his aspirations, giving him the opportunity and time to cultivate his skills, master his craft, and kick the doors off the hinges of the industry, that so many have failed to break through.
However, his mission is to put away his Hood Diploma from the School of Hard Knocks and take the music industry by storm. His talents and ambitions have gained him recognition and the opportunity to work with heavy hitters such as Juelz Santana, J-Boog from B2K, Omarion, Paul Wall, T.I. and more!! Currently negotiating with many heavy hitting record labels, Bo Deal never rest and he is currently putting the finishing touches on his new mixtape, New Deal!!
Recently Bo Deal has worked with Coogi, Lot 29, Akademiks, etc. etc.,and has also been having been featured in ASIS Magazine, The Chicago Defender, Focus, and Prestigue Hair Magazine, plus the NY street based Street Styles DVD Magazine. He has also had a guest appearance on BET's The Lobby and of course the unforgettable 5-WEEK REIGN OF FREESTYLE CHAMP ON 106 & PARK.
Regardless of how it may appear, you can't help but respect his ferocious freestyle flow. He's a go-getter, who believes in himself and he doesn't foresee any of his success slowing down anytime soon.
Now that you are familiar , here's some new music from Bo Deal & Killer Klan.
There clearly isn't enough latin rappers out there, so i had to get this guy on the site. His name is Essince and he's out of Stow, OH. Maybe we're seeing the new Big Pun or Fat Joe!!! Tell me what ya'll think of him and be honest.
Whats Up World!!!??? Here's the download for my new mixtape entitled "Blend This". The concept behind this is just a whole bunch of blends I have done during the time I have been a dj. Thanks to all of Chief Rocka Entertainment for helping out with this project (especially Rocket and Frost for getting the inserts and fliers together, and C.O. for getting the release party together), DJ G-Spot for creating the blog site and my man D Roof for pressing the copies at the very last minute. Word son. Here is the playlist for the cd. The link to download is at the end of the cd. Peace.

Whoa, Angel Lola Luv is rapping and Stephen Hill, Senior VP of Programming at BET is in her video. guess who's gonna be supporting her project heavy????? lol
I aint mad at Ms Luv, she doing what she gotta do to get it. Maybe i can get Debra Lee (BET's CEO) in my Family Guy video. haha
This has to be the craziest, nastiest mixtape cover i've ever seen. Damn, they really went in on these dudes laying around on the cover. The funniest is Young Buck on top of the tree. lol
You know being from Chicago has definitely introduced me to alot of music. Enur brings that techno-house sound that i grew up on (well, kinda). Its just good to hear something other than hip hop. All styles of music has good stuff, you just gotta dig thru the bad. Here's Enur feat Natasja & my girl Lumidee!!!!
As much hate has been thrown the way of Yung Berg, i'm still a fan. He's at least trying to bring good music to the table, whether its hip hop or r&b. Keep doing ur thing YB.
p.s. can't wait for Cap-1 to drops his album too!!!
Jamie Foxx on the promo run really acting a damn fool and getting it in with his female fans. The video is of him, Shamara and Power 99FM fans in Philly.
The more songs I hear from alot of these wack rappers, the more I become a fan of Donny Goines. He's really trying to make a change in hip hop, and I'm down with him. I know music is for the kids, but we do need a balance. We need dance joints, gangsta rap & conscious rap all to coexist as it did it the beginning. Watch the video for "Ricky's Story" and be inspired.
Jus Mic is a superstar in the making. He has the right team, right management and the right music. You can't lose with that combination. Hip Hop is alive and it lives in him!!!!! download mixtape / cd sampler here
