Christian was born and raised in New Kensington, an outskirt of Pittsburgh. She found her passion for music while singing in church and continued singing after that. Her and a friend formed a group named Harmony that broke up in late 2009. After her breakup from the group she met FlyGuy through a mutual friend and after recongnizing her talents asked her to be part of Fam 4 Life. She accepted and aquired the name Pretty Krissy and made P.K. her rap altar ego after finding out she could rap. Her major accomplishments are having shawwna "Former Dtp" on her album and her album release party for Hannibal Pk (available on all digital distribution), being nominated best female artist and perfomrer at the first annual P.U.M.A. (Pittsburgh Undrground Music Awards) awards for 2012, and performing for Cory Gunz in Cleveland ohio. Now P.K. is one of the most dynamic and versitile female artist doing it. Her main influences are Lauren Hill, Mariah Carey, SWV, and Beyonce. Dru Hill was one of her favorite male groups.

DJ Mr. King Mixshow Podcast #192 (Stress Relief Shawty)
To jump it off, if you have been an avid follower of mine, you know that I coach high school boys basketball. This year, in our first season as coaches, we took a team of kids NO ONE believed in (whether it was behavior, academic or character issues) and turned this group of young men into champions. Actually the first 'ship in 21 years (17-7 11-1 MSL Conference). While we had goals of reaching the district, those dreams fell short last night in a 2 point loss to our rival. I just want all my guys to know I'm proud of yall and we will be back stronger than ever next season.
With that being said, I just needed to release a little stress so it was straight from the gym to the lab to do what I do best. No Theme Shawty flow this week. Just random digging and blending for an hour. Turntables are my therapy. :)

2nd Annual Shoot Basketballs NOT People Recap
(AKRON, Ohio)---The 2nd Annual Shoot Basketball Not People Free youth basketball clinic was held Monday at Buchtel High School providing more than 200 school age youth from the Akron area with a fun-filled day of basketball, food and motivational speakers
The clinic, which was hosted by DJ Mr. King, Kenmore Youth Basketball League, Essentials Basketball Academy, MKU Athletics and the Young Black Professionals Coalition (YBPC), had former Akron U standout Alex Abreu and current Zips guard Quincy Diggs as guest speakers. Both talked about the importance of making right decisions, working hard in and outside the classroom and having respect for one another.
On behalf of the entire SBNP staff, thank you to all of our volunteers, sponsors (Buchtel High School, Beanie Wells, Roccos Pizza, Graffiti Print Shop) and the amazing children who helped make this event a success.
